Hi I’m Nathan, a Perth based authorised Marriage Celebrant passionate to bring warmth, calm and the right energy to your big day.
Whether you’re planning a backyard ceremony surrounded by loved ones, or a big celebration away from home, I’m here to help make your ceremony truly reflective of your journey together.
Nathan was honestly amazing from the start. He made everything easy to understand and kept us calm the whole way through. The ceremony felt just right, not too formal, not too casual just us. Couldn’t have asked for better.
We’re so glad we found Nathan! He was easy to talk to, super organised, and really listened to what we wanted. On the day, he brought great energy and made everyone feel comfortable. So many of our guests said how lovely he was.
Nathan made the whole process feel simple and fun. He helped us with all the paperwork, gave great tips for the vows, and on the day he was just calm, kind, and confident. Highly recommend him to anyone getting married.
We didn’t know what to expect with a celebrant, but Nathan was spot on. He took the time to get to know us and made the ceremony feel really natural. We had a laugh, a few happy tears it was just perfect.
From the first phone call, Nathan was just lovely. He explained everything clearly, was super easy to work with, and made our ceremony feel really personal to us. We had such a great day and Nathan played a big part in that.
Nathan was a legend! He helped us stay on track with all the forms, gave us great advice, and nailed the vibe on the day. He’s professional and stayed patient with us, exactly what we were after.
To ensure your preferred date is locked in, I recommend booking as early as possible — especially during peak wedding seasons (spring and summer). Legally, we must submit your Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) at least one full month before the wedding, but I suggest securing your celebrant well before that so we have time to plan the perfect ceremony together.
The NOIM is a legal form that must be completed and lodged with your celebrant at least one month before your wedding day. It’s valid for up to 18 months. I’ll guide you through completing it and make sure everything’s in order, it’s all part of the process.
When lodging your Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM), you’ll need to provide original documents to confirm your identity, date and place of birth, and photo ID.
Acceptable documents include:
An Australian or overseas birth certificate, or passport
A driver’s licence or WA Photo Card
(Scanned copies can be emailed initially, but I must sight the originals before your wedding, as required by law)
You’ll need to provide legal proof that the previous marriage has ended. This includes either:
In most cases, both parties must be 18 or older. If one of you is under 18, you’ll need a court order granting approval to marry, which must be provided to me before the ceremony can proceed.
You’ll need two witnesses who are over 18 and understand the language of the ceremony. They’ll sign the legal documents after the ceremony.
If you’re eloping or planning a surprise, I can arrange witnesses for you (a small fee applies).
Life happens, and if you need to move your date, just get in touch as soon as possible. If I’m available for your new date, we’ll simply reschedule.
If I’m unavailable, I can transfer your NOIM to another authorised celebrant to keep everything on track legally.
Please note: As outlined in my Terms and Conditions, the booking deposit and some fees may be non-refundable depending on timing and the reason for the change — but I’ll always do my best to work with you.
Love is love, and I proudly support and celebrate marriage equality. I have wonderful family and friends within the LGBTQI+ community, and I’m passionate about creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive space for every couple.
If you're looking for a Celebrant who values authenticity, respect, and a good connection, I'd love to chat and see if we're the right fit.
If either of you speaks a language other than English, we can arrange for an interpreter to assist with the legal parts of the process.
(NOTE: Any documents not in English must be professionally translated, and those costs are the couple’s responsibility)
Your ceremony can include anything that feels right for you — whether that’s readings, music, cultural rituals, or personal vows. I’ll help guide you through what’s possible. Just keep in mind that, by law, we must include the Monitum and Legal Vows, which your two witnesses must hear clearly. For “Just the Legals” ceremonies, only the legal components are included.
Legally in Australia, you need to give at least one full calendar month’s notice before your wedding day. This means lodging your Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) with me at least one month before you plan to get hitched. So if you're keen to get married soon, let's chat and get that paperwork sorted ASAP. After that, we can plan your ceremony for any day that suits.
We will discuss your ceremony plan and together work out the best format, delivery and basis for your script.
Your ceremony should feel like you, so we’ll create a script that’s uniquely tailored to your love story. We’ll rehearse with all involved, so everything runs smoothly and everyone feels confident.
And on the big day, I’ll be right there with you, guiding you through each moment, helping ease and nerves and metaphorically hold your hand until your walk back down the aisle as a married couple.
If needed, we’ll hold a rehearsal, either onsite at the venue or virtually, close to your big day. It’s a great way to make sure everyone knows their role and feels comfortable with the flow of the ceremony.
Plus, it’s the perfect time to test those special touches, like whether the dog can successfully bring the rings down the aisle
So your big day has arrived. Nervous? Probably. Alone? Never. I’ll be there before the guests arrive, right through until you head off for photos. I’ll check in with your vendors, photographer, venue staff etc to make sure everything is on track.
I’ll ensure the rings are safe, (yes, I have backups!), ties are straight and make sure everyone is ready to go.
We’ll move through your ceremony script at a calm, steady pace so you and your guests can soak it all in. And don’t worry your vows and be ready and waiting for you when its time.
To complete your NOIM (Notice of Intended Marriage) and all required legal paperwork, I’ll need to sight original identification documents confirming your full name, date of birth, and place of birth.
A birth certificate or passport works best, along with a secondary photo ID like a driver’s licence or proof of age card.
ID verification can be done remotely, but I must see the original documents in person before the ceremony for your marriage to be legally recognised.
If that’s not possible in time, we can still go ahead with a beautiful Commitment Ceremony in front of family and friends—and finalise the legal part later with just the two of you and your witnesses.
